HELD OVER BY UNMITIGATED DEMAND!: Midnight at the Oasis, a found art show + sale at Long Brothers Fine & Rare Books, Pioneer Square. “Midnight at the Oasis” blurs the border between high art and kitsch beneath an illusory, moonlit sky. Drink deep from the well of sublime mysticism that is Maxfield Parrish’s “The Garden of Allah”, circa 1920, and pause to consider the 1980s silkscreen of an (apparently) incontinent unicorn. Assembled from the collection of Daniel R. Smith, these works are locally sourced from estate and garage sales and span in origin from 1900 to the 2000s. Show runs through Dec 29.
