A feminist view of colonization with texts by Small and poems by Jaffe. Many of the images are adapted from Theodore de Bry's engravings depicting devastation in the Indies in the early years of colonization. Small was acting director of the Warren College Writing Program in the department of literature at UC San Diego. Re-published with the augmented title by Monthly Review Press in 1991. OCLC locates this original edition in just two libraries.
