Nakov was one of the pre-eminent scholars of the Russian avant-garde and non-objective art. This monograph was published on the occasion of an exhibition held in Paris then London and Ontario during 1975 of works by Vladimir and Georgii Stenberg including reconstructions of four of the long-lost Spatial Apparatus Constructions (KPS,) commissioned by Nakov in 1973.
