The issue's chief subject is the White House and the decor of rooms rarely seen by the public. At the time the house was occupied by President Lyndon Johnson and his family; among regular visitors to the Johnson White House was Senator Warren Magnuson (D, Washington State/Boeing), whom Johnson included in his regular poker games. Indeed, their friendship was enough for Johnson to take a break from presidential duties to serve as Magnuson's best man at the senator's 1964 wedding. We haven't looked for the image of a parlor room, and whether it contains a Johnson's card table.
