Volume X in the publisher's series. Title continues: March 1, 1829. Continued and Completed March 24 and June 5, 1829. Curiously, Columbia is misspelled on the spine as "Colombia."

George Simpson, as manager of the Oregon Country's Chief Factors and Chief Traders, was vital to the success of the Hudson's Bay enterprise in the region. Contains deep information on the Pacific Northwest's agricultural contribution to the China Trade, as well as passing references to Jedediah Smith, Fort Vancouver, Peter Skene Ogden, Fort Langley, etc. A handsome, stately volume.
