A scarce, well-preserved pamphlet addressed to the Honorable Mayor and Corporation of New York regarding the insufficiency of the Night Watch in ensuring the safety of the growing metropolis, with recommended reforms. In succession, the author addresses "depredators" and their institutions, including "Thieves & Sharpers," "Brothel Keepers," "City Prison - Bridewell," "Taverns - Ardent Liquors," etc.
