The Many Roads to Highline [WITH] Washington State The Burien Normandy Park Edition

The Highline Publishing Co., 1972. "Special Edition" Hardcover. 4to. Pp. 106. Illustrated throughout with one hundred black-and-white reproductions. Stiff printed wrappers. Slight age-toning to edges of covers, else Fine. Included is a cartoon history of Burien and Normandy Park, unpaginated, published upon the 1993 incorporation of the City of Burien. Stiff printed wrappers bound with black plastic comb binding. Near Fine. Item #6986

A reprint of the first edition, 1972, with fresh introductory information from the authors. A worthy vernacular history of the suburban area south of Seattle, including Burien, Shorewood-by-the-Sea, Seahurst, present-day Seatac, and other communities along Puget Sound. The cartoon history of Burien is mostly a vehicle for advertising, although the unnamed author-artist does provide facetious details on the historical background of both Burien and Normandy Park.
