From the personal collection of Barbara Bader, critic, publisher of Kirkus Reviews and author of American Picturebooks from Noah’s Art to The Beast Within (Macmillan, 1976.) The inscription reads "To Barbara Bader because she too is incandescent." The typewritten note explains she had used that adjective in her review of the book. Dust jacket is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
