Ravenholt served as Chicago Daily News foreign correspondent for Southeast Asia until 1978. Following journalism, he continued to divide his time between Manila and Seattle, engaging in agricultural pursuits in both locations. In Washington State he co-founded Sagemoor Farms, at one point the largest graper grower in the state.

Dust jacket is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
