Illustrated with three additional color plates and 222 black & white photos and drawings. Black cloth, titles on the spine and illustration on the cover stamped in gilt, endpaper maps: leaf edges minimally age toned, upper portion of the leaves are a trifle warped though the head edge appears straight. In the color photo illustrated dust jacket with price $15 intact on the front flap in spite of a clipped corner: front and rear panels a tad wrinkled.
