When he self-published this textbook Murdock was an instructor at the Arizona State Teacher's College in Tempe where he became Dean in 1933, then elected Congressman in 1937, serving six terms until 1953. Each chapter is concluded with a list of words "for vocabulary building" distinctively set centered and tapering from long to short, e.g. "unconstitutional search warrants" to "despot."

State constitutions are increasingly at play in today's highly polarized political machinations, and Arizona's is no exception: With its explicit right to privacy, Arizona groups have chosen to argue over the state constitutional right to due process. Scarce.
