A facsimile of the rare first edition, published 1893, this being #229 of only 400 copies. The text volume consists of the final report of the expedition by David Lindsay; Lindsay's journal; the journal of Mr. L. A. Wells, the surveyor. The expedition was only moderately successful in achieving its goals, due in part to a significant drought that they labored under. That said, they covered over 2,700 miles of unexplored territory, mapped 80,000 square miles of territory in southern Western Australia and South Australia.
