Matson Line "Hawaii" Playing Cards - Full Deck with Frank MacIntosh Illustration
Matson Navigation Company, 1941. Frank Macintosh. Loose cards in box with slipcase. One deck of standard-issue playing cards, with all cards of all suits represented, as well as one Joker card and another labeled "Contract Bridge Scoring" that can be utilized as the second Joker. In the original box with embossed silver Duratone label stating "Hawaii." Slight wear to edges of interior box, else Fine. Very Good. Item #6601
Although undated, the Frank MacIntosh illustration, "Night Blooming Cereus," featured on the verso of cards and on the slipcase cover, was used as a Matson Line menu cover in 1941. Made by the [Arrco Playing Card Co.] under the brand name "De Luxe Duratone Playing Cards" the deck remains bright and fresh.
