We've posited 1950 as the publication date based on library citations (most suggest late-1940s), paper type, photographic quality and binding; that date is mere educated guess. Excellent photographic illustrations of intricately carved and plaster Venetian frames of the 14th-18th centuries. Morazzoni cites bibliographic references in his text. Scarce: Of the handful of international libraries that hold this edition, the only US library listed is the Art Institute of Chicago. The last copy offered at auction was 2009.
