Item #6547 In 2007 a car bomb exploded on Bagdad's al-Mutanabbi Street, killing more than 30 people and wounding three or more times that. The historic center of Baghdad bookselling community, the street attracted literary and intellectual activity. Following the barbarous attack, viewed as not just a physical act but an assault on freedom of thought, a call for a response in book form was answered by the fine press and book arts community worldwide. The broadside at hand, exquisite in its restraint and profound in its statement, is one of the more successful examples we've seen.
