Dust jacket is a bit rubbed, with edge-wear, and a closed tear at spine head continuing onto the rear panel. Gold background color retains brilliance. Very Good / Good+. Item #6352

Former owner name in pencil on the front free endpaper ("D. J. Lobrano") is that of Dorothy Lobrano Guth, goddaughter of E. B. White, longtime New Yorker staffer and editor of The Letters of E. B. White. First published in Greek in 1938, this epic poem's translation into English was made in close collaboration with the author. Dust jacket preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
