First published in France in 1928, this first English translation has a foreword written in 1955. Letters from Proust to Marthe and her cousins Antoine and Emmanuel Bibesco and a few others are presented with context and insightful commentary. The elegant dust jacket design is after Jean Cocteau, and carries his distinctive flowing line. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
