The art-deco dust jacket design by Jung is a charming depiction of two women, the wife and "the other" standing their ground in front of the distant husband-lover. Boynton's review concludes, "its effect comes from its simplicity, its effortless action, and the something indefinable that belongs to the touch of genius." Dust jacket is now enclosed in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
