Inscription, in pen, reads, "For -- -- , Sophie Frye Bass". The reminiscences of growing up in the village of Seattle, founded by the author's grandfather some 80-plus years prior to publication. Bass's recollections, arranged by chapters dedicated to Seattle streets, are enhanced by Florenz Clark's line drawings and block prints. A better copy of the first printing than we usually encounter. Dust jacket is now housed in a clear, removable archival protector. SMITH, 630. SOLIDAY I: 1437.
