Bound in brown buckram over beveled boards, titles stamped in gilt on the spines and Francis coat of arms in Order of the Bath (with "Quae Fecimus Ipsi") stamped in gilt on the covers, head edges gilt, dark blue endpapers. Armorial bookplate of Charles A. W. Pownall on the front endpaper of each volume. Light foxing to preliminaries, edges slightly age toned, spine ends rubbed, small stain over Vol. II spine titles, a single marginal note in ink and several marks in pencil. Very Good. Item #6092
