Brown cloth, beveled edges, titles and decorations stamped in gilt on the spine, decorations and rules stamped in black on the cover and spine, decorated endpapers, top edge dyed brown. Hinges parting, edges age toned, title page red ink stamps: "Mott Memorial Med. & Surg. Library" with spots offset to tissue guard. Very Good. Item #5914
The author was one of the founders of and Resident Surgeon at HSS Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, which opened in 1863 in Knight's home. Scarce.
