A vignette depicting an Northwest Coast indian canoe in motion is repeated across the top of panels. Slight wear along folds, and with two short, closed tears measuring less than an inch each. Very Good-. Item #5873

Although undated, we posit 1925 as the publication date, based on the photographs and the style of the illustrator - Ronald Threlkeld Jackson (1902-1992). As a young man, Manitoba-born Jackson studied in both London and Paris; as such, this is likely a very early commission in his career, a career spent interpreting the maritime life of coastal British Columbia. The only institutional holding in British Columbia, per OCLC, is at Simon Fraser University. Scarce. Now enclosed in a removable, clear archival sleeve with acid-free backing.
