Poems reflecting the eastern mysticism that inspired St. Denis, a pioneer of modern dance. She embarked on a solo career in 1905; in 1915, Los Angeles, she co-founded the Denishawn School of Dancing with Ted Shawn. In 1927, when they opened a New York branch, illustrator Ruth Harwood became an intimate member of their troupe. Indeed, St. Denis credits Harwood for editing her poems. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable clear archival sleeve.
