A rich trove of material, much of it first published here. Of particular note are the journal and letters of Admiral Viscount Keith, of the Bellerophon, the vessel that took Napoleon and his large retinue in captivity as British authorities ascertained the Corsican Ogre's fate; and the letters of Lady Malcolm during Napoleon's St. Helena captivity. An attractive copy, detracting qualities withstanding.
