Inscribed to actress Renee Lamb, a Broadway actress who made the transition to Hollywood as the silent era was giving way to the talkies: "For Renee Lamb, with Best Wishes, [signed] Joseph Moncure March". March was the first editor of The New Yorker; one assumes his departure to Los Angeles was driven as much by temperamental differences with Harold Ross as by a desire for filmland success. Published one year after March's sensational The Wild Party. Now protected with a removable, clear archival sleeve.
