Chinas Comidas with The Feelings -- Large Silkscreen Poster, Seattle 1978

DIY, 1978. Carl Smool. First Printing. Large format two-color silkscreen poster measures 13.75" x 18". Design and printing by Carl Smool. Old creases from folds, now mellowed. General wear and rubbing to edges commensurate with age. Good. Item #3434

A superb, early poster from Seattle's underground punk scene, featuring the visage of Chinas Comidas-founder Cynthia Genser presented a la Warhol's portrait of Edie Sedgwick. The band included Rich Riggins, Dog Midtskog, and Mark and Brock Wheaton. The Feelings were Rob Vasquez, Geoff Cade, Greg Ragan and Dean Helgeson. The venue was the Ethnic Cultural Center in Seattle's University District, and the words "Rock Show" are presented as if the unknowing public might be confused by the foreign nature of the band names and venue. Featured in Instant Litter Concert Posters from Seattle Punk Culture by Art Chantry, p. 7, as well as Clark Humphrey's Loser, p. 36.

Price: $150.00
