A charming, fawning tribute to Lipton from "a friend of over thirty years" who was also a New York City cop. Lipton was close to the NYPD, and served as Honorary Deputy Chief Inspector. Other than the yachting world of the era, the book is contains information on the New York City Police Department, and features a 1905 photo of the New York Police Department baseball team, "Lindsley's Own," Lieutenant Charley Madigan, Manager. Hickey also emphasizes Lipton as a major figure in the yachting world, along with his dedication to things Irish. A solid, presentable copy.
