Seattle: (Pioneer Square Merchants Committee), (1981). First Edition. Oblong 12mo. Pp. 48. Introduction by Mayor Charles Royer. Text by Walt Crowley. Illustrated throughout with line drawings by Lynette Miller. Bound in saddle-stapled stiff wraps printed in three colors. Accompanied by a folding map of the neighborhood. The original artwork accompanies the booklet, totaling 27 drawings on 20 leaves of good quality artist paper. All original illustrations in the booklet are accounted for, but for one: a depiction of the Washington Street Boat Landing Pergola. Booklet shows slight use. The artwork, now protected in archival sleeves in a leather binder, was occasionally prepared with white ink for pre-print production purposes. Very Good. Item #2062

In sum, a well preserved visual overview of Seattle's first neighborhood. Today many of the architectural fixtures remain protected by landmark status, as they were then, but others have been renovated and still others, such as the Kingdome, have disappeared entirely.

Price: $450.00
