An account, with explication, of the inaugural state caravan, using horses, that embarked upon consummation of the Treaty of Kyakhta. The caravan departed in the fall of 1727 and stayed in Peking six months, which included an audience with the Emperor. The route became known as the Kyakhta Trade.
