Rorabaugh had a long history teaching at the University of Washington. His inscription reads, To Walt with Best Wishes, July 7, 2003. [signed] Bill Rorabaugh. Walt Crowley is perhaps best known as a co-founder of HistoryLink, the online encyclopedia of Pacific Northwest history, and the first US website devoted to regional history. Crowley also wrote an extensive list of books documenting Seattle history. In that capacity, Crowley's positions as a city planner, local television commentator, speechwriter and civic activism served him well.
