The annual Alaskan Engineering Commission (AEC) reports were issued from 1915 to 1923, during the course of the Alaska Railroad’s planning, survey, and construction. The reports include information on the design and technical specifications for the railroad’s buildings, bridges, and related structures, progress of construction, and expenditures. In 1924 the AEC was reorganized as the Alaska Railroad Commission. From the personal library of Judge James Wickersham, esteemed Alaskana bibliographer and collector. Provenance aside, the condition of the maps is gleaming. ARCTIC BIB, 188; SOLIDAY I, 58; WICKERSHAM, 8415.
