Profusely illustrated, mostly with b&w photo reproductions, but also with line drawings, charts, etc. Bound in half black pebble grain morocco over boards. Printed spine label. Pages 13-32 with a closed half-inch tear at top edge. Spine has suffered spotty, organic loss (see photo). Marbled paper-covered boards worn through at edges. Old cloth reinforcement to hinges. With the ex libris stamp or siegelmarke of Baudepn. Strom-und Hafen-Bau-Hamburg, Cuxhaven. Despite detracting qualities, the binding is solid and sturdy. Good+. Item #1733

Obscure trade periodical, founded 1904 or 1905, devoted to shipping. Albiet Brussels-based, the scope of the journal is international. Topics and photos include the Titanic, shipping subjects in the Congo, sinking of l'Oceana, Le Pasaqua, the Panama Canal (at least two articles), Baron Evence Coppee, and pleasure craft. OCLC locates only two holdings, at the University of Antwerp, and the Hendrik Conscience Heritage Library, also in Antwerp.
