Short crease on front panel, front panel fore-edge rubbed; spine a tad age-toned. Fine / Very Good+. Item #13771 Produced from the Chelsea Hotel by Raymond Foye and Francesco Clemente. The diminutive format was inspired by pocket prayer books they collected in India. Rare.
This entry in the publisher's series was slated as volume 14. However, legal issues with the Jack Kerouac Estate arose and the book was suppressed, or at least never officially distributed. "Pirate Edition" is printed on the title page, but the Hanuman name and logo was inadvertently included on the rear panel of the dust jacket. In its place as Volume 14, Hanuman issued Collected Writings by Willem De Kooning.
