("Encampment of Lieutenant Puget on Puget Sound"). With 26 illustrations. Folding map. Bound in three-quarter brown leather over brown cloth. Spine lettered in gilt and with five raised bands. Edge-wear to leather; cloth with uneven fading. Withal, well bound. Inscribed by Swan to his sister twice: On the first free endpaper, "H. L Francis / from her aff. brother / James G. Swan". On the follow page, "Mrs. Hannah L. Francis - with the affectionate regards of her Brother / James G. Swan". Below that inscription appears another, evidently written by the sister: "To Edward Francis - from his affec. Mother / 1876" Very Good. Item #13218
