Bound in orange-red half-cloth over black paper-covered boards on which Warhol illustration is blindstamped, gilt lettering stamped on spine. Light wear to extremities. In the illustrated dust jacket that shows edge-wear, especially at head and tail of spine. Price of $3.50 remains intact on the front flap. Inscribed on the front free endpaper "For Lew Gillerson / [signed] Walter Ross / 3/21/58". Laid in is a a printed form in which the author had printed "To My Favorite:

Acquaintance

Accountant

Agent

Banker

and so on, listing other occupations. In this instance, Ross added by hand "Editor," wrote the name "Lew Gillerson," and then signed with his initials. Very Good / Very Good-. Item #13077

A novel of juvenile delinquency for which Warhol drew the titular dust jacket juvie popping up his collar, natch. Stylistically, he used the rough pen-and-ink mode seen in his shoe drawings. Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
