A much nicer copy than usually seen in the rare original dust jacket, chips to spines ends and extremities, creasing to spine and front panel, flaps split with internal tape repairs, Near Fine / Good. Early printing of the The Diary of Anne Frank. Seminal work of Holocaust Studies. Appears on numerous Best Books of the 20th Century lists.The bookseller tag is that of Boekhandel Joachimsthal (Amsterdam), for decades a cultural hub for the city's Jewish community. The store re-opened after WWII, but only after the Nazis destroyed the storefront and deported the owners, 1941.
