A festschrift of sorts for Joseph Kennedy, Jr., the navy aviator who was piloting an aircraft loaded with explosives when it prematurely exploded. The mission was to direct the plane to a Nazi munitions site in France, then self-eject while the flying bomb flew on autopilot to its target. For reasons unknown, the plane detonated before Kennedy and his partner could bail out.

Edited by his younger brother, JFK, who assumed the role destined for Joseph, the eldest of the Kennedy children, and the son designated by his father for the presidency. Includes a poem by Maurice Baring, tributes from Harold Lasky, John F. Kennedy ("My Brother Joe"), Teddy Kennedy, and several other family members and friends. A notably bright copy.

Price: $2,250.00
