The Story of the Innumerable Company [Presentation copy from Edmond Meany]
Stanford University Press, 1895. First Edition. Printed wrappers. Square 8vo. Pp. 39. Brown wraps lettered in red, light soiling, nick to foot of spine. Item #12687 Meany was known for his informal Saturday meetings at the UW where students, alumni, mountaineers, and Seattle cultural figures gathered to talk about all things Northwest. This copy is certainly a product of those gatherings. Scarce thus and a strong association between Seattle's eminent historian and its leading fine press printer and publisher, whose Dogwood Press remains a sought-after imprint.
First book by Jordan, the Ichthyologist and president of Stanford University (1891 - 1913).
Price: $250.00
