Byrd's account of flying across the North Pole, which immediately attracted skeptics who found discrepancies between the distance and elapsed time of travel. As a contribution to the lengthy shelf of polar literature, this volume stands out as an especially elaborate production with good paper, a handsome binding and other flourishes, found here in exemplary condition.
