First autobiography from the Illinois-born actress and innovative dancer who created the "Serpentine Dance" with long fabrics and colored lighting. She left for Europe in 1892 and was well-received in Paris where she performed the "Fire Dance" at the Folies Bergère and was active in the Art Nouveau movement.
