Bound in tan cloth, spine with stamped brown lettering and rules, front board with brown lettering and illustration. Shallow dent on front board. Illustrated dust jacket with edge-wear, notably with the front panel separated from the spine.

Inscribed on the half-title page by L.V. McWhorter to " Murray and Eunice, compliments" using the native name that was given to him by the Yakima tribe, He-mene Ka-Wan. The bookplate on the front pastedown belongs to Mrs. S. Murray McWhorter who undoubtedly is the Eunice in the inscription, though unsure of relation.

Also signed on half-title page "Sincerely yours" by Mourning Dove. Scarce thus. Fine / Good+. Item #12496
