Paris: nd. Manuscript on letterhead, framed. Signed fountain pen manuscript note on approx. 140 x 180 mm address letterhead with single horizontal crease. Matted behind glass in decorative wood frame 9-3/4 x 12 inches. Typescript translation mounted to the back. Near fine. Item #12182 French composer of film and ballet scores Georges Auric (1899-1983) was a member of "Les Six" with Erik Satie and Jean Cocteau. From 1954 to 1978 he was president of the French performing rights society SACEM.
The undated note apologizes to "my dear President" for being unable to attend a meeting in the Rue Chaptal the following morning due to a prior engagement.
