Includes a manuscript letter, dated January 11, 1995. Signed by cast members Sissy Spacek (with inscription), Walter Matthau, Sean Patrick Flannery, Piper Laurie, Joe Don Baker, Nell Carter, and Mary Steenburgen. Very Good / Clamshell Box: Fine. Item #12117 Adapted from Capote's second novel, which was informed by his Monroeville childhood and the treehouse in which he played with his cousins and, incidentally, Harper Lee.
The script was owned by Bob and Sally J. Harper, the production's hair-stylist and makeup artist, respectively, two veterans of the Hollywood movie industry. They had the screenplay signed by the Hollywood luminaries, then gifted the script to their grandson, Stephen, as evinced by the manuscript letter ("Grandma & Grandpa").
