In contrast with the 1970s high-living realm of rockstar life, Fitzgerald used insane-asylums and industrial wastelands as settings for his photoshoots. Those tableaux and his habit of shooting at odd angles created a disturbing visual language somewhere between Brassai and Weegee. Signed copies of the first book featuring Fitzgerald (among others), X-Capees A San Francisco Punk Photo Documentary (1981), turn up regularly. Increasingly scarce. Now housed in a removable, clear archival sleeve with an acid-free backing.
Price: $125.00
