Notably devoid of inscriptions from fellow classmates. Evidence of WWI is noted in the falling off of usual advertisements for discretionary goods and services. Whereas subsequent issues of the Tyee carry ads pitched toward affluent customers (Cadillac, Olympic Hotel, high-end haberdasheries), this year's ads are of a more prosaic quality. In its ad the University Book Store lists all its full- and part-time staff for the year.
