"Compiled from the latest Government Surveys, and with the assistance of prominent Alaska Men," this original hand-drawn map of the Territory and adjacent Yukon District shows mining resources, the Valdez - Fairbanks Auto Road, pack trails, sled roads, and canneries. Erasure smudges and corrections remain visible - see photos. This is the original from which blueprints were made for sale.

Austrian immigrant John Loacker (1874-1964) was Carl A. Kroll's first employee and finalized purchase of the Kroll Map Co. in 1925. As of 2026 the company remains in the hands of the third generation of Loackers. See HistoryLink.org Essay 21071.
